The Spirit Counseling Center

"Where horses roam and the land embraces, healing finds its sanctuary."

The Spirit Center is named after Sr. Msgt. David K. Rose, a founding member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association-25-9, who chose "Spirit" as his road name. His passion project was the Warrior Ranch, aimed at providing resources for healing and wellness to those who have served their communities and country. Born in Germany in 1962, he lived in various places due to his father's military career before settling in Georgia in 1977. David spent 40 years working for the City of Barnesville, advancing from a meter reader to City Manager in 2018. An advocate for education, he obtained degrees and licenses in various fields. Alongside his career, he founded and ran Rose Electrical Service, focusing on community service before retiring it in 2010.

As a proud U.S. Air Force Reserve veteran, David served for 30 years, including in Operation Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He was deeply involved in various community organizations and cherished his family, humor, and generosity. Mr. David Karl Rose, a respected member of Barnesville, passed away peacefully in 2021, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication.
